2.Biography

Dr. Tianyong Hao is a full Professor at South China Normal University. He received his Ph.D. degree at City University of Hong Kong in 2010. He studied and worked at York University， Emory University， University of New South Wales， and Columbia University until 2014. Dr. Hao is the leader of provincial level research team on NLP for big data and the director of a big data center in provincial research institute. He is a senior member of IEEE/CCF and committee member of ISO/TC37， IEC/SyC， IEEE/CTSoc， SAC/TC62 (associate secretary)， AACI (associate secretary)， CCF NLP， CIPS Health Informatics (deputy director)， CCF Guangzhou (deputy director)， etc. He is the association editor of IEEE TEC， the lead guest editor of SCI journals such as JMIR Medical Informatics. He also serves for IEEE TII， ACM TIST， KAIS， as well as conferences such as AAAI， IJCAI， ACL， COLING， etc. He has published more than 200 SCI/EI indexed papers including IEEE TKDE， ACM TALIP， etc. He is the PI of more than 20 grants including 4 grants in national level. He owns 2 ISO international standards， 8 national standards， 9 best paper awards from international conferences， 3 academic awards from provincial associations or government， and 20 patents.
