2.Biography | Yang Cao is an associate professor at the School of Computer Science，South China Normal University. She obtained her Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering from the National University of Defense Technology， where she also completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Dr. Yang Cao has served as a lecturer at the Southern Medical University (formerly the First Military Medical University) and has been an associate professor at the School of Computer Science， South China Normal University， since January 2006. She has also been a visiting scholar at the Vienna University of Technology under the guidance of Professor Georg Gartner， the chairman of the International Cartographic Association. |

5.Academic | Dr. Cao has been involved in a variety of national and provincial projects， such as the High-Resolution Earth Observation System Major Project， National Natural Science Foundation of China projects， Guangdong Province Key R&D Program projects， Guangdong Province Ministry of Education Industry-Academia Collaboration projects， Guangdong Province Science and Technology Program projects， and the Resource and Environmental Information System National Key Laboratory independent research projects. She has also led and completed projects funded by the National Defense Science and Technology Laboratory， Guangdong Province Science and Technology Program， Guangdong Province Higher Education Teaching Reform projects， Guangdong Province Applied Talent Training Course projects， and Guangdong University Party Building Research Association projects. In 2015， she was awarded the Second Prize of the Guangdong Province Science and Technology Award (ranked third). Dr. Cao has published numerous papers in both domestic and international academic journals and conferences. |
