2.Biography

Xiao Xiaolin is an Associate Professor at the School of Computer Science， South China Normal University. She earned a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Wuhan University in 2013 and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Macau in 2019， under the supervision of Professor Yicong Zhou. From 2019 to 2022， she conducted postdoctoral research at the School of Computer Science， South China University of Technology， working with co-supervisor Professor Yuejiao Gong.

Dr. Xiao has published numerous papers as the first author or corresponding author in top international journals in artificial intelligence and image processing， including TIP (CCF A， top journal in the Chinese Academy of Sciences， Area I)， TNNLS (CCF B， top journal in the Chinese Academy of Sciences， Area I)， TMM (CCF B， top journal in the Chinese Academy of Sciences， Area I)， and PR (CCF B， top journal in the Chinese Academy of Sciences， Area I). Her work has also been presented at prestigious international conferences， such as KDD (CCF A)， ICME (CCF B)， and ICASSP (CCF B).

She has established long-term collaborations with the University of Macau， Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen)， and South China University of Technology. Dr. Xiao has led projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation for Young Scholars and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and has participated in national key R&D projects as well as National Natural Science Foundation projects.

Her current research focuses on image and video processing techniques based on tensor algebra and quaternions， image data subspace learning methods， multi-view (graph) learning methods， evolutionary algorithms based on tensor algebra， and the application of these methods to traffic data processing and smart city development.
