2.Biography

Dr. Choujun Zhan conducted research in complex systems under the guidance of Professor Guanrong Chen during his Ph.D. at the Department of Electronic Engineering,City University of Hong Kong. In my postdoctoral tenure, I worked under the mentorship of Professor C. K.Michael Tse (formerly at the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, now a Chair Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at City University of Hong Kong), focusing on the analysis and modeling of complex systems. My research intersects the domains of complex dynamic network systems, big data, and artificial intelligence (AI), with a focus on: (1) analyzing, modeling, and predicting time series using big data and AI technologies; (2) delving into time series analysis leveraging classical theories of complex networks and systems.
Untill now, I have published over 120 academic articles, covering research in time series analysis, modeling, and prediction in the fields of big data, AI, complex networks, and complex systems
theory. My contributions include 58 SCI-indexed (30 first-author papers) and 50 EI-indexed papers.
Notable publications span esteemed journals like IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics,
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, Information Sciences, Nature Communication, Expert Systems with Applications, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II, IEEE Transactions on
Network Science and Engineering, IEEE Internet of Things, and more, covering topics like financial system (published 14 SCI/EI papers), medical and health data analysis (published 22 SCI/EI papers), and several other studies in data analysis. In addition, I have published one monograph, edited one book, and written three book chapters.
In terms of research projects, I am principal investigators of several grants, including one National Natural Science Foundation of China, two Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province of China, two Guangdong Provincial Department of Education Science and Technology projects, and one Guangzhou Science and Technology Planning Project.
My main academic activities and services include serving as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, a reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a Senior Member of IEEE, a Senior Member of the China Computer Federation (CCF), a co-chair of several international conferences, and a reviewer for several international journals. In the past five years, my publications has been cited over 1200 times on Google Scholar, achieving an H-index of 19, demonstrating my wide influence in both domestical and international academic communities.
