学术报告简介:
Motion capture has gained its awareness to the general public due to its applications in movies. Our 3D Motion Capture Laboratory at City University of Hong Kong has been conducting various research projects related to motion capture for many years. In this talk I will introduce our 3D Motion Capture Laboratory and give an overview of our research projects which are in the areas including recognition, retrieval, synthesis of single person motions as well as two-character interactive motions.
报告人简介:
Howard Leung is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at City University of Hong Kong. He received the B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University, Canada, the M.Sc. degree and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University respectively. He is supervising the 3D Motion Capture Laboratory at City University of Hong Kong. His current research interests include 3D Human Motion Analysis and Retrieval, Intelligent Tools for Chinese Handwriting Education, Web-Based Learning Technologies and Brain Informatics. He has received the Best Paper Award during the 31st Computer Graphics International (CGI 2014).
